Our first site was the Colosseum which had a huge lineup as it was Easter weekend. Well worth it as they had some great displays of Roman armour. We were also able to see some of the restored flooring and seating at the far end. The kids learned that it was built on Neros old palace and they used to flood the arena in order to stage mock naval battles.
